Description / Fleet Dispatch Manifest

Fleet Dispatch Manifest — EDI X12 204 Motor Carrier Load Tender

The Fleet Dispatch Manifest is the operational backbone of Layer 2 Logistics, generated as a standard EDI X12 204 Motor Carrier Load Tender that integrates with existing carrier management systems across the 905WOOD fleet of 50 uniform 144-yard Walking Floor trailers and 10+ affiliated carriers.

Each manifest follows the complete ISA/GS/ST/SE/GE/IEA envelope hierarchy with JMS Spring state management supporting Apply, Cancel, and Confirm transitions. This enterprise-grade dispatch protocol ensures that every load movement is electronically documented, timestamped, and reconcilable against billing records.

The manifest includes: pickup location with GPS coordinates and site access instructions, delivery destination (hub or direct-to-processor routing), vehicle assignment based on bin size (20-yd, 40-yd, or 144-yd Walking Floor), estimated weight with sponge effect adjustment, special handling codes for contaminated or high-risk loads, and priority routing based on FIFO compliance requirements for chip piles at the processing hub.

Route optimization leverages density engineering — maximizing payload per kilometer across the Hamilton and GTA service area. The hub-and-spoke model routes collection vehicles to the nearest processing node, minimizing empty miles and reducing the cost-per-tonne metric that drives unit economics. Each dispatch decision is logged as part of the Digital Refinery audit trail, creating a complete transportation record for regulatory and financial reconciliation.
