Description / Diversion Pass
Diversion Pass — Verified Circular Economy Certificate
The Diversion Pass is 905WOOD's client-facing proof that construction wood waste has been diverted from landfill into the circular economy. Each pass represents a verified load that has been classified, transported, processed, and directed toward its highest-value end use — whether that is pyrogenic biocarbon production, secondary wood recycling, or engineered wood product feedstock.
The $75/day velocity signal embedded in the Diversion Pass measures the speed at which material moves through the Digital Refinery pipeline. Faster processing means higher throughput, better client service, and maximum diversion impact. This metric serves as both an operational KPI and a partnership signal — demonstrating to circular economy participants that 905WOOD maintains industry-leading processing velocity.
Each Diversion Pass includes: load identification and Chain of Custody reference, classification result (clean/treated) with regulatory basis, verified weight and diversion destination, diversion percentage contribution (cumulative for the client), CIRCIL Levy savings achieved by diverting from landfill, and a Carbon Dividend estimate showing the CO₂e removal value of the diverted material.
For general contractors in Ontario, the Diversion Pass provides auditable documentation for LEED certification credits, corporate ESG reporting, and municipal diversion compliance. As the CIRCIL Levy escalates from $5 to $60 per tonne through 2036, the financial value of proven diversion documentation increases proportionally.
