Hub Sensor Calibration Certificate — Measurement Accuracy Verification
The Hub Sensor Calibration Certificate verifies that XRF and NIR instruments at 905WOOD processing hubs are operating within specified accuracy tolerances. Calibration integrity is the foundation upon which all chemical analysis data rests — uncalibrated sensors produce unreliable data that undermines the entire regulatory compliance chain.
XRF calibration is particularly critical because of the arsenic volatilization failure mode: if the instrument is calibrated using sample preparation temperatures that volatilize arsenic compounds, the resulting measurements will systematically underreport arsenic concentrations. This false negative scenario is one of the most dangerous failure modes documented in the Digital Refinery architecture because it could allow CCA-contaminated material to pass through undetected.
The certificate documents: instrument identification and model, calibration date and next scheduled calibration, reference standard materials used, measured versus expected values for each target element, accuracy tolerance verification (pass/fail), calibration technician identification, and any noted anomalies or corrections applied.
Calibration certificates are retained as part of the permanent audit trail and are referenced by every XRF and NIR analysis report generated between calibration dates. During regulatory audits, the ability to trace any measurement back to a verified calibration event is essential for demonstrating the reliability of compliance data.
