Description / TCLP Test Report
TCLP Test Report — Contamination Analysis
The TCLP (Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure) Test Report documents the chemical analysis of wood waste samples for three primary contaminants found in treated lumber: Arsenic (from CCA — Chromated Copper Arsenate treatment), Lead (from paints and stains), and Chromium (from CCA and industrial treatments).
905WOOD applies auto-reject thresholds that are more conservative than standard TCLP regulatory limits: Arsenic exceeding 2.5 mg/L (standard limit 5.0), Lead exceeding 5.0 mg/L, and Chromium exceeding 5.0 mg/L. These tightened thresholds reflect the Precautionary Principle — accepting slightly higher false positive rates to ensure zero false negatives in contamination detection.
The report includes: sample identification with Chain of Custody linkage, analytical methodology (TCLP EPA Method 1311), individual contaminant concentrations in mg/L, comparison against both 905WOOD auto-reject and O.Reg 347 regulatory limits, pass/fail determination with regulatory basis, and recommended disposition (clean processing, hazardous manifesting, or further testing).
TCLP exceedance automatically triggers two downstream actions: RPRA Part A Hazardous Waste Manifest generation and Load Rejection Notice issuance. This automated pipeline ensures that contaminated material is documented and routed to appropriate disposal facilities without manual intervention or compliance lag.
